Personal Projects
With an aim to finish my projects, to make an impact on social media and to tell stories.
Locus Smile
Personal Project (On-going)
Inspired by The Locus Rule, I've been struggling to get myself motivated. Frustrated I am, I always try to give it my all, to work harder, to especially never give up. This personal film is dedicated to myself, as a reminder, and as a accomplishment to how far I've come.
Rhizome Lake
Personal/School Project (On-hold)
Axolotl is a type of Salamander, a fascinating creature that stops its growth process; staying in the water its entire life. In a unique lake with diverse
eco-system. A lonely seedling caught the attention of a young soul which later grew attached despite its disappointment.
Stray Biota
Personal/School Project (Semi-completed)
It was once a precious soft-toy, that I decided to make a world of soft-toys. One that many may empathize from childhood. Through multimedia, it illustrates the damage of what ecocide may do to living organisms if civilization used much land than needed.
Luna
School Project (Completed)
Tasked as a pair of two, Charmaine and I made an illustrated children book based of a poetry by Dr Rod and Ngo Chew Yeh. They were inspired by a real life poem written by Bernardo Stella based of his cat. Along with the book, we produced a Pitch Video as well as Mix Media. Not only it was a task for our course, it was made as a competition. The best was selected.
Imminent Light
School Project (Completed) - May further develop into a film
During my Over Sea Immersion Program to China, HangZhou. I wanted to tell a story of a lantern, but I had to somehow relate to something back in South-East Asia. A culture of some sort, therefore I came about the fusion of Chinese Lanterns and Ramadan Lanterns. I dive deep into thoughts what are the difference, what does the shape of the light represented?
