Lim Teck Yang is my given name. People call me Edvyn, so I go by the art name Edvyn Hayashi.
Drawing has been my only spark in this work, the spark that lit up everything else. It wasn't something that just appear, no path is easy. That's why I'm trying my best!

Learning and understanding the history and progression of arts.
Mayan Civilization
In a group of 6, we made a poster about a given topic "Mayan". We had to research about its culture and art period. We looked into the arts type did; Ceramics, Textiles, Wall Art, Architecture, Wood Carving, and Sculptures.
Kampong Glam
In another group of 7, we recorded a PowerPoint presentation about a give topic "Kampong Glam" in the area of Singapore. Researched the type of buildings and origin of the architectures. As well as the changes from the affluence of Singapore during the period of time.
National Art Gallery
Head to the National Gallery to look into specific artists from Singapore. A total of 8 artist and some of which includes; Chen Chong Swe, Chen Wen Hs, Lim Hak Tai, and Liu Kang. There was an exhibition "Siapa Nama Kamu" (What is your name) that we looked into it specifically. But after visiting certain pieced from the 8 artist, we looked around at other work of art. Took photos of some that pitch my interest, overall it was a great experience as I rarely go into art exhibitions.
